Now legal in many states across the country, marijuana is quickly becoming more popular and accepted.
There are several potential benefits for adults when it comes to cannabis and now they are starting to become more well-known amongst the public. You can consume cannabis in a number of different ways, but one of the most popular is to smoke it.
While many will prefer to use a high-quality pipe or device from a reputable smoking store or even a gift box like the Me Time Box, you are often able to create some smoking devices in your home. But how?
With that in mind, this blog post is going to touch on a couple homemade DIY smoking devices that you can make easily.
Apple Pipe
An apple pipe is one of the most tried and true at-home smoking devices that you can create.
Your first step is to create a top down hole in the middle of the apple, but be sure not to puncture the whole way through. This will be where you put the tobacco or marijuana.
Next, make a hole on the side of the apple that is perpendicular to the last hole.
This hole should extend through the length of the apple. So you should have a vertical hole in the center of the apple that reaches the middle of the apple, and then two horizontal holes.
All of these holes should eventually create a pathway. One opening of this horizontal hole will be the mouthpiece, and the other will act like your carburetor.
This method is one of the quickest, so if you are pressed for time, it is a good option to consider. Of course, make sure that the apple is fresh and not rotten, or that could be a pretty bad experience.
Gravity Bong
Another option is to build a gravity bong. This begins by cutting the top half off of a plastic water or sports drink bottle.
Once that is done, put some aluminum foil over the cap and poke a small hole for airflow. This is where you will put your tobacco or marijuana and light it.
In addition to this, you will also need some sort of basin with water in it. Keep the half bottle pressed into the water, light your greens and as you’re lighting them, slowly lift the half bottle up out of the water basin.
This will allow gravity to kick in and propel the smoke up through the top. If you have a socket or small bowl piece, that can also be substituted for the aluminum foil.
Pen One-Hitter
If you want something a little smaller, consider making a pen one-hitter. All you need for this is a clickable pen that has a metal tip that can be unscrewed easily.
The first thing to do is make sure to remove and get rid of both the ink chamber and the top part of the pen, as they will not be used.
Next, take the tip, flip it around and put it back into the body of the pen point-first. Now you have a natural bowl to place your weed, light it, and inhale from the other open end of the pen.
As you can see, this is a very simple method. Of course, never do this with a pen that has a plastic tip, as this could lead to the creation of harmful fumes.
Creating DIY smoking devices from things you have laying around in your home has never been easier.
